Witness to Love
A Marriage Catechumenate since 2012

What is Witness to Love?

Witness to Love is a virtues-based, Catechumenate model of marriage formation that integrates modern principles of psychology and the virtues to help couples facilitate an authentic dialogue about their relationship. Witness to Love is renewing the Church through relationships!

Witness to Love’s mission is to build and sustain communities of Evangelizing Spouses to Be Light in our world. We believe in building communities that connect couples to Christ and the Church.  Join our Marriage Movement today!

Who Benefits from Witness to Love?

Parishes & Clergy

Our mission is to provide local churches with the tools to transform existing programs of marriage preparation into wellsprings of dynamic marriage discipleship that foster both parish connection and nurture authentic accompaniment before and after the wedding day.

Marriage Prep Coordinators

The Marriage Prep Coordinator is key for the Witness to Love process to work properly. The role can be assumed by a priest who has very few weddings, but more commonly it is a deacon, a lay individual or a couple, or a religious. This person should also be passionate about the sacrament of marriage, indeed a marriage champion!

Couples

The key to Witness to Love is that engaged and civilly-married couples are invited to choose their own mentor couple. The mentor couple must meet some basic requirements and is coached to accompany the engaged or civilly-married couple. Unlike other mentor models there is no need to build trust in order for the marriage formation process to work – the trust already exists. Deep conversions, encounter with Christ, and renewal happen consistently for both the mentors and the engaged or civilly married couple.
